Phoenix Security awarded new Adidas Store Contract

04/12/2013

Phoenix Security have been awarded a new contract with Newcastle's brand new Adidas store in Eldon Square.

The store was officially opened on Friday 29th November, by various Newcastle United players including Moussa Sissoko and Mathieu Debuchy.
Then on Tuesday 3rd December hundreds of Newcastle United supports filled the new store to catch a glimpse of Toon hero Alan Shearer who visited the new store to celebrate the opening.

The former Newcastle United Player and North East legend paid a visit to Northumberland Street to take part in the Shearer Shootout Challenge to mark the opening of the city's first Adidas store.

Following the event fans were given a chance to meet their hero inside the store and get their Newcastle United memorabilia signed.

Shearer took part in a football trivia quiz with the public, who put his football knowledge to the test. It was a great chance for members of the public to chat with the star and get his autograph.

Phoenix Security provided Door Supervisors to manage security at the opening, and will provide continued retail security for the store after being awarded with a contract.

Rupert Campbell, retail director for adidas UK said: "Being able to bring the customers and public closer to their local sporting heroes is something only a brand like adidas can do and is something we are very proud to bring to the city."
